These Terms of Use, Disclaimer and Privacy notice (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and YakDil (“YakDil”, “the service”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account, accepting these Terms at sign-up, or using the service in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all of them. If you do not agree, you must not use YakDil.
1. What YakDil is — and is not
YakDil is a halal, marriage-intent introduction platform for members of the Muslim community. We provide tools for members to present themselves and to express mutual interest. We are NOT a marriage broker, matchmaker of record, dating agency, background-check provider, counsellor, religious authority, wali, or guarantor. We are not a party to, and take no part in, any communication, introduction, courtship, khastgari, engagement, nikah, marriage, or any other relationship, arrangement, or dispute between members or their families.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years old, unmarried or lawfully free to marry, and legally permitted to use the service in your country. You must register only one account, in your own real identity, with accurate and current information. We may refuse, suspend, or remove any account at our sole discretion.
3. Account & security
You are responsible for safeguarding access to your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must keep your contact details accurate and notify us of any unauthorised use. Verification badges (selfie or ID) indicate a check was performed; they are not a guarantee of any member’s identity, character, intentions, or marital status.
4. Use at your own risk — no screening
You interact with other members entirely at your own risk. We do not conduct criminal, financial, or immigration background checks, and we cannot and do not verify the truthfulness of any statement, photo, or claim made by any member. You are solely responsible for evaluating, and bear all risk of, anyone you interact with. We strongly encourage involving your family or guardian, communicating only within YakDil until trust is established, and meeting only in safe, public, appropriate settings.
5. Member conduct
You agree to behave with Islamic respect and honesty. You will not harass, deceive, impersonate, defame, threaten, or exploit anyone; post explicit, haram, hateful, or unlawful content; solicit money, gifts, or investments; promote other services; misuse another member’s photos or data; or attempt to move communications off-platform to evade safety measures. Breach may result in immediate removal and reporting to authorities.
6. No responsibility & limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YakDil and its developers, operators, owners, officers, employees, and affiliates accept NO responsibility or liability whatsoever for, and you release and waive any claim against them in respect of: (a) the conduct, acts, or omissions of any member, whether online or offline; (b) the identity, accuracy, or content of any profile, message, or photo; (c) any introduction, meeting, relationship, engagement, marriage, dowry/mahr, family matter, or its outcome, breakdown, or consequences; (d) any emotional, physical, reputational, financial, or other loss, harm, injury, or damage; (e) any loss of, corruption of, or unauthorised access to your data or content; and (f) any interruption, error, downtime, or unavailability of the service. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the prior 12 months.
7. No guarantee of results
We do not promise that you will find a match, a spouse, or any particular person, or that any member, match, or introduction will meet your expectations. The service is provided for the purpose of facilitating introductions only.
8. Photos, verification & content licence
You confirm that you own or have the right to use every photo and any content you upload, and that it depicts you. We strip location metadata from photos and apply your chosen privacy controls, but you accept the inherent risk that any content shared with another member could be copied, screenshotted, or misused by that member despite our safeguards. You grant YakDil a limited, revocable licence to store, process, and display your content solely to operate the service.
9. Prohibited & automated use
You may not scrape, crawl, reverse-engineer, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, nor use it for any commercial, fraudulent, or unlawful purpose, nor collect other members’ data.
10. Third-party services
YakDil relies on third-party providers (for example identity verification, messaging, content moderation, hosting, and payments). We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, or policies of those providers, and your use may also be subject to their terms.
11. Payments & subscriptions
Core safety features are free and never paywalled. Optional paid features (e.g. YakDil Plus) are billed as described at purchase. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing or features prospectively.
12. Data & privacy
We collect only the data needed to operate the service, apply privacy-respecting defaults, and use encryption in transit and at rest with access controls. However, no online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure. You provide your data voluntarily and acknowledge that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any data breach, loss, or unauthorised access. You may export or permanently delete your account and data at any time; some records may be retained where legally required. By using YakDil you consent to this processing.
13. Reporting, moderation & suspension
We provide reporting and blocking tools and operate a moderation queue, but we do not undertake to review all content and we are not liable for content we have not removed. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate any account at any time, with or without notice, for any breach of these Terms or to protect members.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless YakDil and its developers, operators, and affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or cost (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your content, your interactions with other members, or your breach of these Terms.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
16. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to resolve disputes individually (not as a class), first through good-faith informal resolution, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that place, except where mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
17. Changes, severability & entire agreement
We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version and date appear above, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service.

By accepting these Terms at sign-up, you confirm you are at least 21, that you have read and understood this agreement, and that you accept that YakDil and its developers are not responsible for your interactions, outcomes, safety, or data.
