Terms of Use, Disclaimer & Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Saedi Group LLC, a limited liability company organised in Wyoming, United States, operating the YakDil service (“YakDil”, “the service”, “we”, “us”, “our”, including our owners, developers, operators, employees, contractors, and affiliates). By creating an account, accepting these Terms at sign-up, or using the service in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to every part of them, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, which are incorporated into these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use YakDil. These Terms contain an arbitration agreement, a class-action waiver, disclaimers, and limits on our liability — please read sections 16–21 with particular care.
1. What YakDil is — and is not
YakDil is a halal, marriage-intent introduction platform for members of the Muslim community. We provide tools for members to present themselves and to express mutual interest. We are NOT a marriage broker, matchmaker of record, dating agency, background-check provider, counsellor, therapist, legal or immigration adviser, religious authority, wali, or guarantor. We are not a party to, and take no part in, any communication, introduction, courtship, khastgari, engagement, nikah, marriage, mahr arrangement, or any other relationship, arrangement, transaction, or dispute between members or their families, whether it begins on YakDil or continues elsewhere. We do not act on behalf of, or represent, any member in seeking a spouse; every member joins on their own initiative, and the same features are offered on the same basis to all members regardless of nationality or country of residence.
Members may choose to state, on their own profile, whether they are open to a polygamous marriage. That statement is the member’s own description of themselves. YakDil does not arrange, facilitate, encourage, verify, or endorse any marriage, polygamous or otherwise, and offers no view on the religious or legal validity of any arrangement between members. Polygamous marriage is unlawful in many countries. Each member is solely responsible for ensuring that anything they enter into complies with the law where they live and with their own religious obligations, and for taking their own legal and religious advice before doing so. Stating a preference on YakDil creates no entitlement, no introduction, and no obligation on any other member.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, unmarried or lawfully free to marry, legally capable of entering a binding contract, and permitted to use the service under the laws that apply to you. You must register only one account, in your own real identity, with accurate and current information, and keep it accurate. Misstating your age, identity, or marital status is a material breach: it voids any responsibility we could otherwise have toward you and results in immediate removal. We may refuse, suspend, or remove any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice or reason.
3. Your account & security
You are responsible for safeguarding access to your account, your email and phone, and your devices, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. Verification badges (selfie, ID, or video) indicate only that a check was performed at a point in time; they are not a guarantee or endorsement of any member’s identity, character, intentions, health, finances, or marital status. Verification is optional (though required to contact other members) and involves your separate, explicit consent to the processing described in the Privacy Policy’s verification & biometrics section, which you give at the moment of capture.
4. Use at your own risk — no screening, no advice
You interact with other members entirely at your own risk, online and offline. We do not conduct criminal, financial, medical, or immigration background checks, and we cannot and do not verify the truthfulness of any statement, photo, or claim made by any member. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR EVALUATING, AND BEAR ALL RISK OF, ANYONE YOU INTERACT WITH AND ANY DECISION YOU MAKE — including meeting, becoming engaged to, marrying, relocating for, or sending anything of value to another person. Guidance we publish (including the Safety Center and Khastgari Guide) is general information, not professional, legal, or religious advice.
5. Assumption of risk for meetings
If you choose to meet another member in person, you do so voluntarily and at your own risk. We strongly encourage involving your family or guardian, communicating only within YakDil until trust is established, meeting only in safe, public, appropriate settings, and following the practices in our Safety Center. We have no duty to supervise, accompany, or vet any meeting.
6. Member conduct
You agree to behave with Islamic respect and honesty and to follow the Community Guidelines at all times. Without limiting them: you will not harass, stalk, deceive, defraud, impersonate, defame, threaten, or exploit anyone; post explicit, haram, hateful, or unlawful content; solicit money, gifts, donations, or investments; advertise or recruit for any product, service, or cause; misuse another member’s photos or information; or attempt to move conversations off-platform to evade safety measures. Breach may result in immediate removal and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
Zero tolerance for exploitation and abuse. YakDil strictly prohibits, and has zero tolerance for, human trafficking and sexual exploitation of any kind; forced, coerced, or child marriage; sexual services, prostitution, or solicitation; any sexual content or contact involving a minor, and the presence of anyone under 18 on the service; and aiding, abetting, facilitating, or encouraging the abuse, exploitation, coercion, or trafficking of any person. This activity is unlawful. We will remove the member immediately, preserve relevant records, and report to law enforcement and the appropriate authorities.
6a. Monitoring of content and messages
To keep members safe, our systems automatically check messages, photos, captions, and other content as they are sent — for example to block contact details being passed off-platform, and to flag possible scams, harassment, or explicit material. You consent to this checking, and you agree that the members you communicate with have given the same consent when they accepted these Terms. Where something is flagged, or where a member reports a conversation, authorised staff may read the messages involved in order to investigate. We do this only for safety, fraud prevention, enforcing these Terms, and meeting legal obligations — never for advertising or profiling, as our Privacy Policy explains. We do not record voice or video calls.
7. Prohibited & automated use
You may not scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-download content; reverse-engineer, decompile, or probe the service; interfere with its operation or security; use bots, scripts, or automation; create accounts by machine; resell or commercially exploit the service; collect other members’ data; or use the service to develop a competing product. We may employ technical measures against any of the above.
8. Photos, content & licence
You confirm that you own or have full rights to everything you upload, that photos depict you, and that nothing you post infringes anyone’s rights or any law. You keep ownership of your content. You grant YakDil a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable, worldwide licence to host, store, process, adapt (e.g. resize, blur), and display your content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service. This licence ends when your content or account is deleted, except for content already shared with other members in their conversations and records we must keep by law. We strip location metadata from photos and apply your chosen privacy controls, but you accept the inherent risk that content shared with another member could be copied, captured, or misused by that member despite our safeguards.
9. Our intellectual property
The YakDil name, logo, یکدل mark, design, artwork, text, software, and every other part of the service (except member content) belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended personal purpose — nothing more. Any feedback, ideas, or suggestions you send us may be used by us without restriction or compensation.
10. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on YakDil infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at support@yakdil.com (or via Help & Contact) with: the work concerned, the exact content complained of, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorised to act. We will remove infringing content, accept counter-notices meeting the requirements of 17 U.S.C. §512(g), and will terminate the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe copyright.

11. Third-party services
YakDil relies on third-party providers (hosting, storage, delivery of codes and emails, verification, payments). We are not responsible for their acts, omissions, availability, or policies, and your use may also be subject to their terms. If you install YakDil through an app store in the future, that store’s terms also apply and the store is not responsible for the service.
12. Subscriptions, billing & refunds
Reporting, blocking, verification, moderation, incognito and hiding your photos entirely are free and never paywalled (blurring photos is part of Plus for men, and free for women); the free tier is limited to 5 active connections, 10 interests a day and 1 compliment a day (these limits are higher in some regions — see Pricing). Optional paid features (e.g. YakDil Plus) are billed at the price and interval shown at purchase. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled; you can cancel any time and keep access until the period ends. Except where required by law or expressly stated, payments are non-refundable, including for unused time, removal for breach, or features you did not use. You are responsible for applicable taxes. Initiating a chargeback instead of contacting us first may result in account suspension pending resolution. We may change prices or features prospectively — never retroactively for a period you have already paid.
13. No guarantee of results
We do not promise that you will find a match, a spouse, or any particular person; that any member, match, or introduction will meet your expectations; or that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. The service facilitates introductions — outcomes belong to you, the other member, your families, and the decree of Allah.
14. Reporting, moderation & enforcement
We provide reporting and blocking tools and operate human moderation, but we do not undertake to review all content and are not liable for content we have not removed. We may investigate, remove content, restrict features, and warn, suspend, or terminate accounts at any time, with or without notice, to enforce these Terms or protect members. Appeals are handled as described on the Help page. We may preserve and disclose information where we believe in good faith the law requires it or safety demands it.
15. Termination
You may stop using YakDil and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access as described above. On termination, your licence to use the service ends; sections of these Terms which by their nature should survive (including content licence for existing conversations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution) survive.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE OPERATION. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions; in that case they apply to the fullest extent permitted.
17. No responsibility & limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YAKDIL AND ITS OWNERS, DEVELOPERS, OPERATORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND YOU RELEASE AND WAIVE ANY CLAIM RELATING TO: (a) the conduct, acts, or omissions of any member, online or offline; (b) the identity, accuracy, or content of any profile, message, photo, or communication; (c) any introduction, meeting, relationship, engagement, nikah, marriage, mahr, dowry, family matter, or its outcome, breakdown, or consequences; (d) any emotional, physical, reputational, financial, immigration-related, or other loss, harm, injury, or damage; (e) loss of, corruption of, or unauthorised access to data or content; (f) any interruption, error, or unavailability of the service; and (g) any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR FIFTY US DOLLARS (US$50). If you are a California resident, you expressly waive California Civil Code §1542 with respect to the releases in this section, which reads: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.”
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless YakDil and its owners, developers, operators, and affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with your use of the service, your content, your interactions or meetings with other members or their families, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
19. Dispute resolution — informal first, then individual arbitration
Most concerns can be solved quickly: contact us first at support@yakdil.com or via Help & Contact with a written description of your concern, and give us 60 days to work with you in good faith. This informal step is a requirement before any arbitration or claim may be filed. If we cannot resolve it, you and we agree that any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the service will be finally resolved by BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules before a single arbitrator, rather than in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. Hearings may be conducted remotely (by video or telephone) or, if in person, in the county where you reside; filing and arbitrator fees are allocated as the AAA Consumer Rules provide. Exceptions: either party may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual-property or unauthorised-access matters. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed against us in coordination or by the same or coordinated counsel, the parties agree the AAA shall administer them in staged batches of up to 25, with a single set of filing fees per batch and the remainder stayed until the prior batch resolves. Any claim must be filed within ONE YEAR of the events giving rise to it, or it is permanently barred, to the extent the law allows this limit.
Your right to opt out: you may reject this arbitration agreement (and keep every other part of these Terms) by emailing support@yakdil.com the words “I opt out of arbitration” with the email address of your YakDil account, within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out has no effect on your membership.
20. Class action & jury waiver
YOU AND YAKDIL EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS ARBITRATION, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. Disputes may be brought only in an individual capacity. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim shall proceed in court, with the rest remaining in arbitration. Where mandatory consumer law in your country gives you non-waivable rights or venues, nothing here removes them.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer law of your country or state of residence gives you protections that cannot be waived — those protections remain yours. For any claim not subject to arbitration, you and we consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts of Wyoming. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
22. Sanctions & export compliance
You may not use YakDil if doing so would violate applicable sanctions or export laws, and you confirm you are not listed on any applicable restricted-party list. Features may be unavailable in some countries for legal reasons.
23. Electronic communications
You consent to receive service communications from us electronically (in-app and by email or SMS to the contact you provide), including sign-in codes, security notices, and account confirmations. These are part of operating the service and are separate from optional notification emails, which you can switch off in Settings.
24. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, government action, internet or utility failures, or failures of third-party providers.
25. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, with your data remaining protected as described in the Privacy Policy.
26. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version and date appear above; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept it. If you do not accept, stop using the service and delete your account.
27. Severability, waiver & entire agreement
If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Guidelines are the entire agreement between you and us about the service and supersede any prior understanding.
28. Contact & notices
Questions and legal notices can be sent to Saedi Group LLC at support@yakdil.com, or raised through the in-app support tools or Help & Contact. We may give you notice in-app, by email, or by posting to the service.
29. Language and translations
YakDil offers translations of its app interface to make the service more accessible. We work to keep translations clear and accurate, but they may occasionally contain errors, omissions, or differences in meaning.
If anything is unclear, please refer to the English version. Where there is a difference or uncertainty, the English version is the reference version, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
YakDil does not automatically translate or share members’ personal information, profile content, messages, photos, or other member-created content through this feature.
By accepting these Terms at sign-up, you confirm you are at least 18, that you have read and understood this agreement — including the disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and individual-arbitration and class-waiver provisions — and that YakDil and its developers are not responsible for your interactions, outcomes, safety, or data beyond what these Terms state.
