Marriage, not dating

A halal alternative to dating apps

If the swipe apps have felt wrong from the first screen, that instinct is right. YakDil is built for nikah, not for dating, and it shows in everything from the first salaam to the last.

Built for nikah, not for dating

Dating apps are designed to keep you swiping. YakDil is designed to help you leave, married, insha’Allah. Every member states a marriage intention at sign up, and the entire experience is shaped around finding a spouse rather than collecting matches.

No swiping, no endless feed

There is no bottomless pile of faces. You see up to ten thoughtful introductions a day and can hold only a few conversations at once, so you give each person real attention instead of half attention to everyone. Fewer, better, and on purpose.

Verified by real people

Every verified badge means a real person on our team reviewed a live selfie, not an algorithm’s guess. Email or phone is confirmed at sign up too, and unverified accounts can look but cannot connect. It is the simplest way we keep fake profiles and time wasters out.

Modesty by default

A woman’s photos start blurred to everyone, and she alone decides whether to keep them blurred, to unblur for members she matches with, or to hide them. Photos are served from private storage with a check on every view, location data is stripped automatically, and no profile ever appears in Google or any search engine.

No one disappears

The hardest part of most apps is the silence. Here, ending a conversation requires a farewell: the person chooses one of three short, kind messages and it arrives as their last word, so you always know where you stand. Blocking stays instant and silent, because no one who feels unsafe should have to be polite first.

Your family is welcome

The search does not have to be lonely. Through guardian (wali) mode, a member can invite a father, brother or mother into the journey at a level she chooses and controls.

Common questions

Is YakDil a dating app?

No. YakDil is a halal matrimony app for finding a spouse, not for dating. Every member is asked their intention at sign up, and the whole app is built around marriage rather than casual chatting.

How is YakDil different from a dating app?

There is no endless feed and no swiping. Interests are capped each day and you can hold only a few conversations at once, so you choose carefully. Members are verified by a real person, a woman's photos stay blurred until she decides otherwise, families are welcome through guardian (wali) mode, and no one can end a conversation in silence.

Is YakDil halal?

It is built to be. Marriage is the only purpose, conversations are modest and moderated by people, women control their photos and privacy, and the family can take part through the wali. Nothing here replaces your own scholars' guidance, but the app is designed to keep the search dignified.

Is YakDil free?

Yes. Creating a profile, matching, chatting, verification, reporting and blocking are all free. An optional YakDil Plus subscription lifts the daily limits and adds extras, but nothing you need to stay safe is behind a paywall.
